Cozy entire house perfect for your getaway! Recently remodeled kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms await your stay, giving you all the comforts of home while traveling. Perfectly situated on Seneca Lake, close to all the beauty and offerings that the Finger Lakes has to give. The house is in a quite neighborhood just a couple of minutes from beautiful Seneca Lake, the Finger Lakes Wine Trail, Hector National Forest, Watkins Glen International, many State Parks, boat launch facilities, etc. Families with children and house trained pets are welcome! Only 2 minutes from Watkins Glen, 25 minutes from Ithaca, 30 Minutes from Corning or Geneva.
While the cancellation policy has been changed to firm due to ratio of cancellations vs. actual reservations, I want to help you get a full refund assuming you give me reasonable notice. This varies, but it may be 1 1/2 to 2 weeks in the nice season and 3-4 weeks in the off season. I am super kind and understanding, so please don’t be afraid to reach out!
Check out time is 10:30 but if you make prior arrangements we can usually work something out! If we don’t have prior arrangements, and you don’t check out by 10:45 you may be charged for an additional night. Our home may be rented and it’s not fair to the next guests or our cleaning genius to be burdened with no notice.
Check-in time is 3:00, but usually you can come earlier if you want to, or need to! Just ask : )
Sometimes the nightly price may be a little higher than you can pay, or I even know it is. I am always happy to negotiate with you! If you are interested in a longer stay, definitely reach out and let’s talk. I will never accept payment off VRBO, but I can help make things more affordable.
The house: It's a one floor Cape style house with 3 bedrooms, a living room, fully stocked kitchen, full bath and laundry room. We spent much of the off season updating the space including a fully remodeled kitchen, and new mattresses on all of the beds. There is a front deck with a BBQ grill, table and chairs, as well as a spacious yard that you are welcome to enjoy! We supply firewood and kindling, so feel free to enjoy a campfire and scary stories by the fire pit.
I am happy to help in any way I can to ensure that you have a wonderful stay in the Fingerlakes. If you need help with planning, reservations or deep local knowledge regarding wineries, restaurants, hiking, museums, etc. I am glad to assist. When ever possible I will accommodate same day reservations, and when I can't, I will respond promptly.
Unfortunately there are not many great options for transportation other than your own vehicle. On special event weekends you may be able to find Uber or Lyft. Upon request I can help coordinate wine charters, and sometimes I have been known to give a tour myself.
