Plenty of land and great location for hunters, Equestrians and ATV Enthusiasts! The cabin sits in front of 88 acres of private land that we call Fox's Forest.
Hunters!!
Calling all hunters, deer, squirrels, turkey. Bring your own blinds, tree stand and hunting equipment. Hunt for the day on 88 acres of land with an established trail system, just for you and your guests. Then settle down and relax in the cabin for a warm, relaxing and good night sleep. All Illinois State hunting regulations do apply, and you are responsible in following them and obtaining your own permits/tags for the animals you are hunting. You assume all risk to hunting, we are not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur.
Equestrians!!
Equestrian there is an established trail you can use for horseback riding. As the weather allows, additional trails will be established. There is a pasture in front of the cabin to allow your horse to graze on the grass and not have to be contained in your trailer during your stay. Improvement to the pasture and building for your horses will continue as weather permits. Please inquiry for more details about the pasture and building for your horse or the improvements to the trail system prior to booking your stay.
Equestrians, please follow all Illinois laws with transporting horses in state and out of state. We will do our best to provide a safe environment for you to ride your horse. Please be weary of your horse's condition and you assume all risk when you book and bring your horse to ride and graze in our pasture. We will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries that occurred to you or your horse.
In addition to the private 88 acres the cabin is a short distance from Sand Ridge state Forest. You are able to ride your horse down the road to get to Sand Ridge State Forest. Then you are able to ride your horse throughout the State Forest trails as well.
ATV Enthusiasts!!
ATV riders there is an established trail system with more to come as weather permits. The trials are Cleary marked, for your safety please stay on the trails and ride at your skill level. You must supply your own ATVS and follow all Illinois laws. ATV Riders there is no riding on the streets or in the State Forest, Illinois doesn't allow that. Please follow all States rules for riding an ATV in Illinois. You will be responsible for all tickets and fines caused by not following the law. We will do our best in providing a safe environment for you to ride. You assume all risks and we will not be responsible for any accidents injuries you caused from riding your ATV.
All Trails will be check prior to anyone's arrival. However, we can't control the weather or environment as a tree, or a branch might fall on the trail after it has been checked. Please let us know if you run across a blocked trail so we can get the trail cleared for you. Please stay on the marked trails and please stay on our property. The trails and property are clearly marked. You assume all risk and you are responsible for your actions on the property including accidents and injuries to yourself, your property or to our property.
After a day of fun, you can spend the night in the 2-bedroom cabin that is fully stocked and will allow you to have a good night sleep, so you can wake up and enjoy more fun activities the next day. The cabin interior amenities include a wood burning fireplace (wood included), televisions in each room, fully stock kitchen, and free satellite internet provided. There is also a 7 ft pool table that also converts to a pig pong table for your enjoyment.
