Positive: Located in the heart of Chioggia, Casa Sansera was in a great location for our two-night stay. The lodging also offered bikes for use without charge, and that was a bonus since we were required to park our car in a paid parking lot about a quarter of a mile away. The bikes made getting around Chioggia and Sottomarina easy and fun. The room at Casa Sansera was well-appointed, and the bed was comfortable. The Chioggia Concierge team was a great addition to the room, and was easy to reach through WhatsApp. They made for a lovely experience at Casa Sansera
Negative: The room was small, and the bathroom doors were glass, so privacy was scarce. Our room was located on the third floor, accessible from the street lobby via narrow stairs. If you have bad knees like I do, it was challenging getting to and leaving the room. Breakfast was included with the price of the B&B. We parked the car outside the main city limits and walked back to the Casa. The concierge team told us that the tavern owner also owned Casa Sansera, and that was where we could eat breakfast. My husband politely asked the owner when breakfast was served, and the owner rudely told him that it opened at 12 noon. Moments later, I told him we were staying at the B&B and asked if breakfast was included in the stay. He arrogantly informed me that he owned both places. I asked him the same question my husband did, and he told me the breakfast would be served at 8 am. His attitude didn't inspire me to converse more with him or eat at his establishment despite the convenience. Other than that interaction, the visit to Chioggia and Casa Sansera was lovely.
