Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The location was perfect for exploring the Dordogne. The hosts are lovely and gracious. The property is a converted tower, so unique and interesting and has all the equipment needed for comfortable self-catering. We liked the BBQ and the swimming pool.
Negative: Overall this was a good experience. We had a lovely time. However there were a few things that were not ideal: Proximity to busy road. It was quite noisy when sitting out on the patio or by the pool. There was a smell of sewage sometimes when sitting on the patio, possibly from a septic tank near the patio? There was a cleaning charge €75 added on that wasn’t mentioned on Booking.com. It was hot weather and although fans were provided, the bedrooms were very hot at night.
