7 Bedroom House with Ocean View, Security and Bedding

Classic Lake Michigan home with amazing sunset views.
This special property has been owned by the same family since 1961.
There are three separate structures to ensure individual families have their privacy including a main house, bunkhouse and beach house. The original house has a full kitchen, living room with vaulted ceilings, and two bedrooms. The full-length, screened-in porch is the perfect spot for families to convene before and after dinner!
The separate bunkhouse has three rooms of sleeping space, a Jack-and-Jill bathroom and a separate full bathroom.
The beach house has a full kitchen and two sleeping rooms, the second room has a bunk bed with 2 children's beds. The lookout deck is closer to the water and can be enjoyed by all as they make their way down the stairs to the private beach.
Please note, the property is on 100 foot bluff overlooking Lake Michigan and a beautiful beach. There are 40 steps up to the property from the parking lot and 80 steps down to the beach.

Summary: I was so optimistic about this property. There are three cabins which was ideal for our group of 11 and small dog. It also has its own beach access. Pros- The separate living areas were ideal for our large group. The beach is BEAUTIFUL- so much private space, white sand, great for swimming. Cons- We were prepared for the stairs, but it’s definitely a con when traveling with kids and elderly. The stairs do NOT have double sided railings and are a little wobbly which makes it unnerving and dangerous in places. -The property was not cleaned to my standards. Many cobwebs, window screens had to remain open because there is no AC which caused many flying bugs to get in (there were holes in the screens. Flying ants in the beach house coming from under the fridge. -Water is not usable besides showering. This was in the listing and we prepared by bringing water, but we didn’t connect that this would also make the washer unusable. -Rodents- we were also told right before the caretaker left that the mice were “bad this year” and to close the screen doors with latches so that they “couldn’t get in”. I assumed this meant they were OUTSIDE, but after the first night my husband woke up to a mouse sighting and this continued throughout the week. They are living behind oven and dishwasher. -parking is an issue -Master toilet was leaking badly. We will not be returning. Caretaker Ben dismissed and blamed issues on previous renters. Disappointed with our experience overall.
