Positive: The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The lobby was clean and the business centre was excellent. The room had a really nice view of the river. It was convenient that there were some wonderful dining options within walking distance. We also had a late, light supper from the bistro in the lobby, which was quite good. Nice that it was open late. I was concerned when I realized the hotel was located essentially at a casino complex but it is located far enough away that it wasn’t an issue. We didn’t use the pool or fitness room but they both looked very clean and well-kept.
Negative: It was an unpleasant surprise to learn there was no complimentary breakfast. You had to purchase coffee and food from the Starbucks bistro in the lobby. While the bistro was a nice late supper option, it wasn’t nearly as convenient or efficient for breakfast, and it wasn’t open at all in the middle of the day, not even on the weekend. The room was adequate but not what I had booked online, and the wallpaper and fixtures were a little beaten up. The beds were much too soft for us but I’m sure they would be comfortable for most people.
