Casa Melchers is located in one of the most desirable areas of Mazatlán. This LOFT is located less than two blocks from Playa Olas Altas and Plazuela Machado, allowing our visitors the opportunity to be immersed in Old Mazatlán, with easy access to culture, nightlife, and gastronomy. The last piece of the puzzle will be when you discover the incredible garden with a huge pool.

The Neighborhood:
Mazatlán may be one of the only beach destinations where its visitors can walk between vibrant streets and majestic buildings that reveal a great past. The Historic Center is, par excellence, the heart of the cultural life of Mazatlán and the ideal place to live in a festive atmosphere, full of tradition, culture and merriment. Start your tour at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, an eclectic-style cathedral with a strong European influence. Then, go to Plaza Machado, a space surrounded by elegant buildings that invite you to eat, walk or simply rest. Another of the most outstanding buildings is the Ángela Peralta Theater, one of the oldest in the country, where artistic works are still exhibited.
Like almost all the historic centers, the one in Mazatlán can have nights with more noise than usual.

Summary: Upon arrival met by Host, failed to advise major construction occurring for sometime on the next lot. So gutted and advised host we would not staying. He admitted his error and advised he could secure a different accommodation in the same area in the next 24 hours. He offered the larger downstairs unit but the noise would be constant and disruptive. Within an hour he secured a new larger condo in the area and we moved the following day. In terms of the original Casa Melchers we had secured it wasn’t as advertised. It is not 700 feet in size more like a hotel room around 200 feet. There was a queen not king size bed as advertised. Our Holiday got off to a bumpy start, the Host was very prompt in securing essentials lacking in the new larger condo. We managed fine once settled but the experience left us feeling manipulated and damaged the trust we had put in the VRBO listing and Host.
