Summary: My adult daughter and I spent two nights at the cozy roundhouse as homebase for a rafting adventure on the Nolichucky river. The house was comfortable. It matched my expectations. It wasn’t fancy. Some of the lights didn’t work. The neighborhood is in a very steep area between Boone and Banner Elk so it’s 10-15 minutes from anywhere. The beds slept well and the showers had good pressure and hot water. It was a little tricky figuring out where to park. There is a paved pullout on the street at the top of the stairs big enough for one vehicle. I would stay here again but not for longer than a couple of nights.
