Whether exploring the St. George Island Lighthouse Museum or traveling 13.5 miles by car to the wonderful shops, restaurants, and arts scene of Apalachicola, the best of the Forgotten Coast is within easy reach.
The exterior of this property offers under-house concrete parking and luxury amenities including a private pool in a secret oasis setting (heated for a fee), a six-person hot tub, outdoor shower, park-style grill, and a private boardwalk to the Gulf. Enclosed stairs on the ground floor provide access to the floors above and an elevator is available for guest use. The first floor features include two main bedrooms and private access to the covered deck overlooking the Gulf. There is also a third bedroom and bunkroom that share a hallway and full bathroom. The second floor offers a spacious open living/dining/kitchen area with light and airy coastal decor, plenty of comfortable seating, hardwood floors, high ceilings, and access to the large sundeck. Entertainment options include a large flat screen HDTV, Blu-ray player, and Wii with games. Enjoy coastal meals together at the two dining tables overlooking the sea. Additional mealtime seating is available at the bar counter separating the living area from the kitchen. Summary: Its been a few years since we visited St. George Island. We decided to rent a beachfront house we rented before, After Dune Delight, formerly Sea Spell, located in the gated Plantation subdivision.In the years or so since staying there, we were quite amazed at the many improvements. New living room furniture, new kitchen appliances, new countertops and sinks, new tvs , new roof, new outdoor furniture including a new dinette set.The house, while not huge ,boasts 5 bedrooms and 4 baths. With the double bunks in one bedroom and the sofa sleepers, it sleeps 14. There is little wasted space in the open, and with its open floor plan has a living area larger than some bigger homes.Its location is ideal, just inside the Plantation making it convenient to the center island`s commercial area, to the beach state park and to the quaint town of Apalachicola.We would enthusiastically recommend After Dune Delight for your next getaway!!- Anonymous A from PARK RAPIDS, Posted: 03/09/2022 This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
