Positive: Friendly and helpful hostess. Wifi didn't work but she provided a solution. Comfortable and spacious apartment with two large double bedrooms and large living room. Kitchen is well equipped. Bus connection gets you to central Lindau in 15 minutes, and similarly a 15 minute walk gets you to the train station with trains to the entire region.
Negative: The electric stove is a horror to operate. How anyone could design such a user-unfriendly interface is beyond me. More generally, just be aware that in the summer, since the apartment is the top level, it gets very hot if the sun is shining. At night if you leave all the windows open that cools the apartment down sufficiently such that when during the day you keep all the blinds down, it will stay at a reasonable temperature, but by late afternoon it's hot. And there's no A/C. Also, because you'll want to open windows at night, that means that you're going to hear traffic noise - the road outside is quite loud. If you can live with those two aspects, this is a great place.
