*Please note that this is a duplex, but you have your entire side to yourself and it has it's own AC/Thermostat with full guest control! Both sides are rented as Airbnbs to guests. Please only park in front of "The Duchess" side of the Airbnb. We named it "The Duchess" because decor turned out slightly more feminine on this side of the duplex and it's located on Duke Avenue, so we thought that a fun play on the street name!*

We live about 10 minutes away and can be there if needed for emergencies. Otherwise, you will not see us in person.
We are across the street from a Columbia fire station. We have provided sound machines in each bedroom. They seem very quiet with respect to sirens at night pulling out of the station. Very quiet area otherwise.
In addition to federal/state/local laws, and any laws enforced by your booking app, please be mindful and respectful of the following house rules:
- NO Smoking in or on the property! This is a strictly no-smoking property. If you smoke we will charge you an additional cleaning fee plus a $100 charge for ozone remediation.
- No parties, large gatherings, or loud noises. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am
- This property is a duplex, and both sides are rented as Bnbs. Please be respectful of your neighbor, and contact us with any concerns or issues.
- No unapproved guests, unless otherwise agreed upon/given permission by host. Only the guests quoted on the stay are permitted onto the property. If you have any unapproved guests, we will charge a fee of $100/unapproved guest, and require the extra guests to vacate the premises immediately. Please approve any extra visitors with us prior to bringing them onto the property even stopping by for a few minutes as we have Code Enforcement rules to adhere by in regards to guest count.
-Guests must provide first and last names of all guests and visitors on the reservation, as well as, ages of all guests.
-No bookings under the age of 25. Anyone under the age of 25 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 25 at all times while staying on the property.
-Pet friendly with a $75 pet fee for up to 2 dogs, and $100 for 3. If you bring an unapproved pet/animal, we will charge a $100 fee for additional cleaning, and will require your pet/animal to be removed immediately. Pet fee goes towards extra deep cleaning required to free the home of any allergens for other guests.
- If early check-in or late check-out are needed, please contact us no later than 7pm the day before check-in or check-out. We will try to accommodate we cannot guarantee anything. Unless otherwise agreed upon, you cannot check-in earlier than the noted check-in time and day, or check-out later than the noted check-out time and day. If you attempt to check-in earlier or stay past your check-out time without our permission, there will be an additional fee of $50/hr to pay our cleaners as they are prompt and need to be paid for their waiting time. We may also call the police for trespassing should you overstay your welcome.
- If you break/damage something, or discover something broken/damaged, please let us know
- Do not move furniture / appliances / etc.
- Do not unplug important electronics (i.e. appliances, internet, etc)
- Do not unplug, block, or tamper with exterior surveillance cameras
- Nothing but toilet paper in the toilets
To be mindful of during stay: Please help us save our quilts/duvets by sleeping inside the sheets and not on top due to body oils/lotions/sunscreens leaving stains on our nicer duvets which are more expensive to replace.
