Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Food in general is good for an all inclusive concept. Plenty of choices and every day there was another theme that brought something unique to the menu. If you love boring food, that's also available. Local cuisine is properly represented which was great! Plenty of pools, the slides were nice entertainment for kids. Enough sunbeds and umbrellas even when a certain class of people reserve spots against hotel policy.

Negative: For the price of the accomodation, I'd say there could be some more fancy drinks included. Also, the minibar in the room contains just a water and a few fizzy drinks. I missed a can of beer in the fridge for example. The hotel is FULLY accomodated to host German speakers. At some point it became annoying that the staff addressed me in German, I answered in English and they simply kept speaking German. Next time I would choose a hotel where you don't feel like you're on holiday in Germany. At check-in I had to present some kind of voucher, which I suppose you get from your travel agency if you use that. The receptionist had a hard time wrapping his head around the fact I booked through booking.com. Eventually with the help of a manager, it was solved. The beach towels can ONLY be picked up in the basement in the spa. It would be nicer if they had one or two towel stations in the vicinity of the pool and at the beach, The beach is quite close, but the hotel cannot be considered sea side. Walking there is downhill and easy, but back to the hotel uphill when in 43 degrees is not advisable :). Luckily they offer a shuttle and it seems there's always enough space.
