Positive: This apartment is perfect if you’re looking for a comfortable place near the airport, for example if you have an early morning flight. It is only a 15 minute walk away, and the neighborhood is clean and quiet. The apartment is cozy, nicely furnished, and the host is extremely kind and helpful. Very comfortable beds, a well-furnished kitchen, and a cozy atmosphere. We brought our small dog and he instantly made himself at home. Highly recommended!
Negative: I was not particularly fond of the “vacation tax,” which must be paid in cash. This requirement is set by the Bologna municipality and is not related to the host, who I am sure would also prefer to do without it. Similar taxes are applied in other major Italian cities. While I understand that overtourism can negatively impact a city’s infrastructure and services, I do not see the reasoning behind requiring cash payments, as it gives the impression of a state payoff. Nevertheless, I found it somewhat inconvenient.
Summary: Very comfortable stay and amazing host. Highly recommended
