5 Bedroom House with Balcony, Bedding and Fireplace

Fully renovated 3,000 SF five bedroom 1926 Beach Cottage – Sleeps 6 in historic and charming Miller Beach, just 45 minutes from downtown Chicago and five minutes from the South Shore Train's Miller Station, which is now double tracked.
Large single family home on quiet Maple Avenue, one short block from beach path, features an expansive front porch area perfect for family entertaining or quiet relaxing. Back porch and fenced back yard give more opportunities for outdoor living. Well equipped kitchen has breakfast seating for five, looking out into the back yard. Living/dining combination on main floor provides an ideal area for guests to relax, with long dining table for 12.
Second living room (the 'chill room') downstairs is set up for movies on a flat screen TV and hanging around. Off street parking for four vehicles. Bathrooms all redone with Euro style tiling. All linens, including beach towels, are provided.
Stainless steel appliances in fully stocked kitchen with large microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker and tea pot – all you need is the food! Each bedroom has a SMART TV or cable connection and DVD player. TV in kitchen and in the "Chill Room" downstairs.

Summary: My husband and I had a long weekend stay and invited some family for part of the weekend. Upon entering, you get a great home feel. The home was clean and had ample space. The beach and park access were terrific. Communication with the host was very easy. We had a few cool evenings and even took advantage of the fireplace (amazing!). Great kitchen with plenty of plates/pans/pots/bowls - you name it! We also used the grill and purchased a little grill cleaner (scraper) for future guests. this is a great area for family and froends and an incredibly welcoming neighborhood. We recommend the Flamingo for a laid back atmosphere with really good prices and in town check out Indie Indie Bang Bang, Anna's Kombucha Cafe and the Captain's House on a Friday night for one of the best Crab Boil dinners!!
