Positive: We stayed at Galaxi Mansion, an independent traditional Greek house overlooking the beautiful bay of Galaxidi — and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The property has a charming, authentic character, with a gorgeous Greek-style garden that feels like a destination in itself. Sitting there in the evening with a drink, surrounded by calm and simplicity, is an experience worth having. The room was cosy, the bed exceptionally comfortable, and the view truly stunning — the kind you don’t get tired of. Breakfast deserves a special mention: easily one of the best we had in Greece. Fresh, generous, and clearly prepared with care. But what really makes a place like this stand out is the staff. Just like everywhere we’ve been in these past 10 days, it’s the locals who make the difference. There is a genuine warmth and pride in what they do that you can feel. If you come here, take the time to appreciate that — and treat them with the same kindness. They are, without question, the best part of travelling in Greece.
