Travel Purpose: business
Positive: Our room was very nice, very clean, spacious. We had one issue and the front desk fixed it right away. It was a bit weird that the staff came into the room multiple times a day, but it was nice having the room repeatedly tidied up. The ballroom was nice and spacious and there was a lovely outdoor seating area to take our buffet breakfasts and lunches. The valet service was friendly and easy to use. The front desk was happy to help with pretty much anything.
Negative: The dinner we had on our first night was not good. The mashed potatoes were barely room temperature, the grits were tasteless, the $70 steak my husband had was meh, the brownie dessert was weirdly small. The dessert we had on our second night was supposed to be creme brulee but was solid orange and rubbery, as was everyone's at the dinner we attended. We had a good laugh over it but it was inedible. The meals we ordered through room service, however, were delicious, so I guess there are just some inconsistencies with the food prep. This was not an issue for my husband and me, but there are no locks on the double doors to the bathroom, the glass door to the toilet, or double doors to the tub. Also, be careful before you open anything in the room. There are lists of charges for everything, even the bubble bath.
Summary: Very good overall, would try more restaurants outside the lodge next time
