Positive: This location feels like it's on the edge of town. I booked here as a brief reprieve between cities so I could be near the ocean and some fresh air. It's a 30 min bus ride from the train station and you can get bus tickets at the market inside the train station. There are a few bus options to get to this area the 1+ which sometimes turns into the 9, and the 9. I'd recommend the 1+ because it goes along the water rather than through town the whole time. Although I did not try the Pizzeria on site it seemed very popular and there were always a lot of cars parked outside in the evening. This space has a parking area for camper vans so if you're traveling by vehicle/RV it's definitely an option. Pet friendly too! I was there on a Sunday and when I walked over to the water there was a huge outdoor market going on, very cool to walk through and do some shopping if that's your thing (I found a great quality monocular for bird watching for only €15 and spent the rest of the day looking out at the sea). I don't know if this market runs every day but it was happening on that Sunday! Even though I am childfree I was not bothered by the families who were on site, there looked to be a playground area in the back of the gated property, and just outside the property was a bike park/skatepark. There's also a golf course if that's how you like to spend your time. But honestly: go hang out at the ocean. I had an unforgettable experience with an octopus just sitting with my feet in the water! Great place for rockhounding/beachcombing . Be mindful of the tide so you don't get stuck away from a staircase.
Negative: Unfortunately the busy Pizzeria brought a lot of cigarette smokers right outside of the windows of the room. Since this space was selected to get out of the city smog it really was a downside. The heater for towels in the bathroom wouldn't turn off, and AC machine wouldn't stay on so it's necessary to open window so you don't over heat. With such a large area they should have a smoking area far enough from the building that it won't go into windows. The "Rio Ardenza" is more of a bog than a river and I didn't bring bug spray. So many mosquito bites and I was only walking past it 6 times (two ventures out for dinner and one trip out and back during the day)
Summary: Good option to escape the city rush and enjoy being beside the sea
