The flat is located in the heart of the centre, in the Palazzo Corvino Principe di Mezzojuso, a noble building built in the late 1500s, in the Kalsa district. From here you can easily move around on foot to visit all the most important monuments... and there are many.
The Kalsa district, built during the Arab domination, was the fortified citadel where the emir and his ministers resided and still retains its name (al halisah, the elect, the pure). Even today, a particular oriental atmosphere still hovers there, accentuated by the presence of monuments in the Arab-Norman style. The heart of the district is around the Piazza della Kalsa, but the area extends as far as Corso Vittorio Emanuele, including many of the city's most interesting monuments.For the young, especially those who love nightlife, there are numerous clubs and pubs within a few metres of the flat, the destination of Palermo's 'movida'.
