Positive: If you have a busy life and want to get away from it all in peak season, yet still be within reach of fabulous markets and sights with lots to see and do as a family or couple, then this is a great place! The location is top notch, right by the beach with no busy roads around. You can cycle everywhere, mostly on quiet roads or segregated cycle tracks, often lined with wild flowers alive with butterflies. There is a market in a different town every day within cycling distance - fresh fish, veg, crafts, everything (most take card payment). Added to the natural location and superb beach, the hosts are just wonderful - I felt safe and looked after, but with privacy and space to enjoy family time. The breakfast was above and beyond, and I loved the fresh juice every morning. I liked the set up with breakfast served in the main house, which I have found is quite usual for a French Chambre d'Hote. We booked both rooms for a family of 4 and they are adjacent and we had a beautiful wooden terrace to relax on. Very nice selection of comfortable sun loungers, tables and chairs, parasols and deck chairs. We used the hosts' BBQ several times, it's a good electric one and sizzled our market goodies beautifully. A family/couples place for active nature loving people. C'est genial. I recommend the restaurant La Case Iodee in Port Marin (cycling distance), super seafood and relaxed ambience with excellent service.
