Positive: Please note there are new owners who moved in a few months ago, so many older reviews don’t really reflect the current experience. The owners are genuinely trying to make the stay as comfortable as possible, and it shows. The château is very big—we had plenty of space, and our kids were especially happy (lots of room to run around in the backyard and play with the owners’ friendly dog). The place had everything we needed, and breakfast was a highlight: nice conversations with the owners, who are very welcoming and open to feedback—if you have suggestions, they actually want to hear them. Location is convenient and calm. Parking was easy right in front on the street, and it’s quiet enough to fully relax. There’s a supermarket nearby and a few cafés, and Hirson is about a 10-minute drive with more restaurants and anything else you might need. We stopped here overnight while driving from the Alps to the Netherlands, but we’d happily come back again—maybe for a summer weekend. Highly recommended.
Negative: Nothing significant to mention. Perhaps newer towels in the future, but the ones we had were perfectly fine, and this will likely improve with time
