Summary: We had a really lovely vacation at this truly beautiful home. The view, decorations and pool are even nicer than the pictures. The location is also great - while the property is up a hill, it affords incredible views of the sea and mountains from multiple terraces. It is also a short walk to the beach - but the hill back is a bit steep. However, a few notes of caution. The house only has one air conditioner in the main living space. While it is strong and does a decent job cooling the house, it does not really cool the bedrooms when its hot and the bedroom doors have to left open for the cooling to get in. There are fans provided in each room but there are no screens on the windows (which appears to be common in Europe). Other than the first day, our weather was not too hot (low 80s) and we left the windows open at night with a fan and other than the first very hot night, we were fine. There are terrific electric metal shades for keeping out the light. Also, while it was not an issue for myself, husband and our 13 year old - the house might be difficult for people with mobility issues. or young children. There is a flight of stairs to get into the house and another to the pool and there are multiple ledges within the house. Again, the house is beautiful and the height allows for great views but these issues did create problems for my mom and aunt in their 70s who ultimately left early so we wanted to share the information. Also, while it may just be the way in France/Corsica. the house only had a 1/2 roll of TP in one bathroom when we arrived and there are no swimming towels provided (but bath towels are). On the other hand, the kitchen was very nicely stocked with cooking supplies and all sorts of basic spices and condiments. We had a few issues during our stay due to a large storm (definitely not the owner's fault) and a mix-up on the tv remotes, and while the owner did not respond to our calls on the first day (a Sunday), all problems were quickly fixed on the following day. All in all, I would recommend this house and would definitely go back.
