Summary: We love this place! The staff are excellent, very helpful and nice. We stay in the private room with A/C - my fiancé likes his A/C, haha - and the room is quite nice. The room is clean and cools off quickly, the shower is a bit lacking in water pressure but it does have an electric water heater. The beds are large and comfortable. It is very near Soi Rambuttri, which eventually runs parallel to the infamous Khao San road, so you are very close to all the action (maybe 5 minute walk) but it’s far enough away that at night it is quiet and easy to get some rest. We usually eat street food instead of restaurant food, but we have eaten in the hotel restaurant a few times and the food was always good (and they make great coffee). I have tried out a few guest houses in the area and we always come back to New Siam, and if you want a bit more luxury the New Siam group has a few more hotels in the area to fit any budget (one also has a pool, and if you stay at one that doesn’t, they let you use it for a small fee).
