5 Bedroom House with Internet, Kitchen and Laundry
Our home is a completely newly renovated, well decorated large home for a full family or several - that is 15 minutes north of San Francisco in Marin Country (Tiburon) - arguably a better place to stay than San Francisco itself! We're happy to share as many photos as helpful, or do a video tour with you. This is a great setup for a large family or several families, with two bedrooms completely set up as quiet, private home offices.
If you are here to visit the area, or want to escape SF for the summer in a sun filled home that's ready for working from home, kids, walking to the water, hiking, coffee shop, upscale grocery - this is it ! We're on a cul de sac with a park 3 houses down.
Walking distance to the bay (3 blocks) where you can use our stand up paddle board (SUP), or hike to Ring Mountain for 360 views of the golden gate bridge, SF, and the Marin Headlands. Enjoy the quiet path behind our house, indoor / outdoor living vibe of the house opening up to a sunny deck and spacious backyard !
There are five full bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. On the top floor, there is a brand new private suite with it's own entrance, bedroom with queen bed, and bathroom. It's on the main level of the house so while private - also right in the mix. Also on the main level is a beautifully decorated guest bedroom with a full office set-up and queen bed. On the lower floor are 3 more bedrooms: The master bedroom is very large with a king bed, full office set-up, and large en suite bathroom. There is a 4th bedroom with a crib but plenty of space for the pillow top queen aerobed that we have. The fifth bedroom has bunk beds; the bottom of which is a double. Still very comfortable for adults; it is a Room and Board bunk bed with very high end mattresses. This room woudl work well for 1-2 adults too ! There is also a full laundry room and two storage rooms.
On the main level we have a state of the art chef's kitchen, newly renovated, which opens to the living room and two sets of french doors out to the deck. This flows with an open layout into the dining room, second living room with expansive floor to ceiling bookshelf with sliding library ladder, another deck, and entryway. Yes you can sit outside on the deck and watch the large TV comfortably ! The main level ceilings are 12 feet high, with windows, 3 sets of french doors open to deck, large window double door front doors - the natural light throughout the house is incredible
We have three young kids so there are toys a plenty, and the backyard has a swing set, play house, large wicker hanging swing, a four chair seating area, and tons of toys / athletic equipment. Guests are welcome to use our many bikes, scooters, etc. as well.
We have a three car garage, sizeable flat driveway, and plenty of street parking.
We live in Tiburon, one of the most beautiful towns right outside the best city in the world. We are minutes from the bay, ~15 minutes from the ocean (many beach choices), and walking distance to the Ring Mountain hiking trails - let alone a 10 min drive to all of Mt Tam. We're two blocks from an upscale grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants. However our street and home are private and quiet! The back of our home has a private hiking trail behind it. There is a park halfway down our block as well. If you want to see all the sights of the San Francisco Bay Area - but stay in a large, beautiful home in a nature-filled area - this is it !
Our street is a dead end with a beautiful park three houses down. The street is perfect for safely riding bikes and scooters, and strolling just three houses down to the park.
