Positive: The lobby is very clean and nice. The room itself was decent for the price. The mini fridge was very convenient and it even had a hair dryer. The view from the balcony was nice. The valet staff were very kind and considerate. The air conditioner was great and I really liked that the pool was heated.
Negative: The biggest problem was bathtub. The water would be either scalding hot or ice cold. It would not change temperature no matter how much I tried to adjust the knob. The next issue was the receptionist. It was our first time in Waikiki and I wanted to know more about the buses. The receptionist didn’t answer anything about prices or where to go. He essentially said to Google it. Not the most helpful receptionist. Next the room looked decent but didn’t feel clean. The bed sheets were not fresh and smelled old. When we asked room service if they could clean our room, she said to ask the owner instead. Imagine swimming in the ocean and out in the sun everyday to sleep in the same sheets that already weren’t very clean to begin with. Last little thing, the balcony door was extremely difficult to open. As much as I wanted to enjoy the view, the hassle of getting the door open was too much. Also, the hotel is like a 15 minute walk from everything.
