The Rustic Farmhouse is a historic home built pre Civil War. This home was purchased as an original 2 story home but a basement foundation was added when it was transported to this site. Take a trip back in time, and enjoy pure tranquility in the heart of the city of Suwanee/John's Creek, Ga.
Escape from the everyday city life and enjoy nature in our 13 acre forest while being centrally located and just 25 minutes away from Buckhead, 40 minutes from Atlanta, 15-20 minutes away from Lake Lanier Islands, 35 minutes away from the new Suntrust Atlanta Braves stadium, and 40 minutes away from the Lakepoint Sport's complex in Emerson, Ga Select one of the many public golf courses in the area and enjoy a men's getaway.
The farmhouse is a 4 BR, 2 1/2 bath authentic wood home filled with beautiful antique furniture. The perfect place for a garden party, retreat, or a family getaway. The farmhouse has an accompanying one bedroom apartment over a garage which also has full 3 bay enclosed space underneath for lounging, eating or hanging out. There is also an addition to the garage with a kitchenette. The very large apartment suite is fully equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom, and washer and dryer. The kids are certain to enjoy staying in bunkbeds in this apartment! The bedroom has a queen sized bed along with 2 sets of bunks, and can accommodate up to 6 people. There is an additional bed in the form of a pull out sofa in the living room that sleeps 2.
This quaint, historic farmhouse is an excellent location for small weddings, retreats, small team building conferences, or family getaways.
Simply sit on the porch and enjoy the beautiful view, play some checkers or board games, explore the large forest area or watch the wildlife. All the while while knowing you are close to many major attractions in the greater Atlanta area.

Summary: It's amazing to find this quaint peaceful retreat surrounded by modern homes. There is enough property surrounding this house that the deer make it a permanent residence. Slow down coming down the driveway. It's bumpy. Plenty of parking space which was very unusual for a rental property. Being a much older home to begin with the layout is a little strange. Having a well to provide water means no chlorine smell/taste to the water. We threw all the single guys into the separate apartment. They were quite content and the teens could use the spacious area on the main level to play card games, etc. The kitchen is very lacking in the usual amenities, but if you are ordering in or grabbing takeout, you won't think so. A few of us are 'foodies' and all the food was 'scratch' prepared. This meant I brought my stick blender, big slow cooker and waffle maker from home (I'm local to the house, so no big deal). Be ready to navigate stairs as there are no ground level bedrooms. Wi-fi was good. Nobody watched TV, so I can't tell you anything about that. This is our second stay there, and any problems were quite minimal.
