Positive: The house itself is beautiful and the location is great. This was a couples retreat, but the house has plenty of room for an entire family or two small families. Game room downstairs can entertain for hours.
Negative: To start I will admit that I am a little picky when it comes to cleanliness. The first thing we always do is check the bathrooms and beds and clean what we are not comfortable with. The toilet on the main floor still had pee on the bottom of the seat and top of the toilet, it appeared to have been cleaned with the seat down. The main level bed looked to have a large stain in the sheet and matress cover, may have been clean but not very appealing. The jacuzzi tub in the upstairs bath looked to have not been cleaned at all, dead skin oily ring left in the tub, we did not use this so left it the way it was. The hot tub is completely unusable with brown algae or something growing in it, looks like someone crapped in it with the jets running. We probably would not have used the hotub anyway, but when you advertise that it has one the owner/manager should keep it in working condition. It is aggravating to see a home this nice that is not kept in good order, if properly maintained this house would easily be 5 stars.
