Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The place turned out better than expected. The house was very clean and neat upon arrival. The heating system worked well, we were never cold inside. The wifi worked well. There are smart TVs in the bedrooms and living room, and we could easily use Netflix and connect external devices to play games. All the extra amenities provided were helpful like the paper towels, sponges, and bars of soap, and there was every kitchen utensil we could possibly need. Birds flocked in the front garden too in the morning and it was very peaceful and nice to see. Only a 10-15 minute drive to the Oakhurst shopping area.

Negative: Be warned about booking with Booking.com, for some reason my reservation and payment didn't go through but I didn't realize there was any problem. I called the hosts for a separate concern a month before the stay dates and they noticed they didn't see our reservation on Booking.com, so if I hadn't called them they wouldn't have known I made the reservation. If you book through here, make sure you call the provided number to double check it went through. The only other thing I didn't like is that it took longer than expected to get to locations within the park because the park entrance/toll lines were super long. It took us two hours to enter the Yosemite South Entrance and 40 minutes to enter the Mariposa Grove Welcome Plaza.
