Summary: Things we really liked: The location was convenient and very walkable to Japantown and downtown SJ. We appreciated the keurig coffee in the room, and bottled water tank near the shared kitchen where we could refill our water bottles. The bed was comfortable. Very short wait for hot water in the shower and sinks to start up. The owners were very quick and responsive to messages sent through the app. Beautiful succulents in the back yard. We also appreciated the free street parking. However, it’s an older house so the walls are very thin and we could hear the neighbors, not just in the house, but also outside. It wasn’t the cleanest but ok. In room 1, just fyi, the area above the toilet door, where I assume once had a window, is windowless, so the toilet is not enclosed to contain your personal sounds and smells. The entry was sprayed with a really strong scent, as well as the linens had a strong detergent scent. So if you are sensitive to fragrance, be warned.
