3 Bedroom House with Parking, Balcony and Security
Lower House West is a spacious Georgian farmhouse in the coastal village of East Prawle. Families, walkers (and pets) can enjoy a self-catering break in this special part of South Devon. There's a wonderful suntrap conservatory, sea views, a private garden, parking, and private access down a track to the beach (about 20 minutes). the village store and well-known local pub The Pigs Nose Inn are on your doorstep and you're in easy reach of the South West Coast Path.
Accommodation:
From the small walled garden, the front door opens into the main hallway with room for coats and boots. From there, enter the spacious kitchen-diner with wooden flooring, cream units and wood worktops, an electric cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge-freezer, and a dishwasher. The dining area seats five and overlooks the garden. (There is a nespresso coffee machine).
The large lounge also has wooden flooring, as well as two comfortable sofas, an armchair, wood burning stove, and a TV with DVD. French doors lead to the conservatory - another dining area, and a lovely quiet spot to relax with tea and a book.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, built-in storage and an ensuite shower room. The second bedroom is a twin bedroom with built-in storage and a chest of drawers. The third bedroom is a single room. Sea views can be enjoyed over the fields from all bedrooms. There is also a family bathroom with a bath and a handheld shower.
A cot and high chair are available.
There's central heating throughout and a wood burner (logs can be purchased locally)

At the front of the house is a small walled garden with a lawn and bench.
Parking:
There is private off-road parking outside the house. The driveway is a rough farm road which may be unsuitable for low-profile vehicles. There is additional free parking on the village green.
Nearby:
The Pigs Nose, the village pub in East Prawle, is a wonderful spot just up the road (live music events are listed online). Piglet Stores - the village shop - is well stocked with everyday goods, as well as some delicious local produce. The South West Coast Path is a stone's throw away, and takes you to a number of quiet beaches.
There are also ideal places for kayaking, 'coasteering' adventure sports, and paddle boarding.

Try Gara Rock, Horsley, Macely Cove, Mill Bay (at Salcombe) and Lannacombe Bay.
Picturesque Salcombe - which is accessible by foot ferry or car - is an ever-popular coastal village and a must-see destination.

Lower House West has direct access to one of the world's longest and most-popular coastal paths. The South West Coast Path is a National Trail that stretches for 630 miles, running from Minehead in Somerset, along the coasts of Devon and Cornwall, to Poole Harbour in Dorset. Even if you don't want to tackle the full length, sections of the trail take in rugged coastline, quiet coves and ancient woodlands. It really is a truly stunning trail.
Availability:
During the peak season (May, June, July, and August) we need to keep to Saturday changeovers and a minimum stay of 7 nights. However, please contact us with any requests you may have and we will try to accommodate if at all possible.
Outside peak season, we can be more flexible and don't need to keep to a Saturday changeover.
