The most common comment about my house is:- it is more beautiful in reality than you can think and the sourrounding views are just fantastic.-
The property is situated on the beautiful slopes of Monte Amiata, in the South of Tuscany,just 2 Kms from the busy hill town of Castel del Piano.
It is set in a silver olive grove,very close to one hidden natural pool in the river nearby,Podere San Vincenzo is built on the plant of 15th century chapel
The flat is warm and comfortable with typical country style furniture,with cotto floors,wooden beams and doors, the entry is into a large living/dining area with open plan kitchen and fire-place. The house is very suitable for a group of friends, or couples. You can rent just one apartment or the entire house.
There are 2 large double bedroom and a smaller double/twin,so each flat can accommodate tree or four persons. Well appointed bathroom (provided with a washing machine)
The views from the flat are wonderful and there is free access to a barbeque and garden furniture.
The central location of Podere San Vincenzo offers visitors easy access to spas, historic towns, excursions, trekking in the Parks of Maremma, Monte Amiata and Monte Labbro

Summary: Seven adults consisting of family and friends enjoyed this lovely farmstay...peaceful, beautiful country living in the Tuscan hills. It was a refreshing change after spending a week in Florence and Siena. The farm includes an olive grove, vineyard, outdoor eating and lounging areas, a private swimming pool and even a friendly donkey named Tosca. The farmhouse is a historic building with interesting history. It was well stocked, clean, comfortable and has air conditioning but most nights we slept comfortably with the windows opened. Hosts Paolo and Stephano were wonderful. Nearby towns of Castel Del Piano and Montegiovi were fun to explore with their cathedrals and bell towers. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores in town and the food was fresh, inexpensive, and delicious. You will need a rental car because this is off the beaten path. I had planned a full itinerary of visiting Montepulciano, Montalcino and other notable towns but once we arrived at the farm we didn't want to leave. No need to pay for fancy wine tasting tours. Instead we bought a variety of wines from the well-stocked grocery store and drank them in our vineyard. Even the inexpensive bottles (3 to 5 euro) were amazing. One day we hiked Monte Labbro in the nearby Nature Reserve, We saw ancient ruins along with lots of wildlife including: wild boar, donkey, deer and wolf. We all brought home wonderful memories. Highly recommended.
