The Apartment
Tedea 2-bedroom 2-bathroom apartment is a second floor unit in the famous Palazzo delle Cinque Dita, the building of the Five Fingers. A legend surrounds this building and adds charme to this lodging. The buildinghas double access both from the main street, Via Roma, and the backroad, Via del Santo. One of the bedrooms can have an extra bed so that occupancy can be up to 5 guests.
The apartment main door opens on an incredibly bright and spacious sitting room and kitchen.
In the sitting area two couches are prelude for relaxing moments. The kitchen is completely equipped and has washing machine and dishwasher.
All furnishing is new with the mating of old pieces inherited by the owner from her grandma Tedea, the person that gives the name to the apartment.
In the back of the apartment, in quiet position, we have two bathrooms with showers and two double bedrooms.

Tedea (born 1874), who gives her name to the property, was the owner's grandmother nickname. She was a farmer who had large portions of land uphill around Vernazza village. She was a natural soprano with an in credible voice extension. For this reason the villagers named her Tedea from the lyrical church song Te Deum.
Her voice was so high that from the village main street her relatives and farmers working on the hillsides could clearly hear her when she was calling for dining!
The building of the Cinque Dita (five Fingers) derives its name from a mysterious event: one morning the building inhabitants on stepping down the staircase to the main street found 5 bloody fingers printed on a wall. No corpse or wounded person was found around. Everybody keptanyway on considering this scary and frightening, especially kids. The actual owner remembers he always rushed as a child on the steps afraid of meeting ghostly presences!
