Summary: Wasn't expecting too much from our stay at The Dolphin hotel Swansea as it wasn't expensive and only classed as 3*. The receptionist was very friendly, efficient and welcoming. We did mention that we were in Swansea to celebrate my partner's birthday but wasn't offered anything as a free upgrade which would have been a nice treat. Having worked in hotels myself in the past this is something that can result in repeat business. The furniture was very dated and worn in appearance and the carpet was coming away from the walls. However the room was spotlessly clean. It suited us for what we needed and depending upon the price we would book there again
