Summary: The house was stunning. Real shabby chic, not forced. Relaxed and comfortable with plenty of space (communal and private) for 12 adults and teenage kids. The surrounding area is totally unspoilt and truly one of the most beautiful coastlines in Europe. The house location gives the feeling of being remote (the way we like) but only 5 minutes drive or so from Cancale and St Malo - both of which offer all the oysters, shopping, restaurants and sightseeing alternatives that you could want and half an hour from Mont St Michel. We even went go-karting on a great track only 10 minutes from the house. Communication with the owner was faultless all the way and all our emails and queries were replied to promptly. Deposit may be a bit steep, but understandable from the owner's point of view and returned immediately after our stay was complete. Not only would I recommend this place to friends and family, I took them all with me! And all of us said we would love to return. If you love seafood and white wine, crepes and cider, vegetables from the field, walking on wild beaches in wild spring weather (on a couple of days), butchers and bakers, cycling, chilling and boules (the house has it's own private gravel 'pétanque' pitch - if that's what it's called)... in short real France - then you shouldn't overlook this place. We are thinking of planning a summer trip next time, to experience a bit warmer weather, but really Brittany is best in spring.
