Summary: So many wonderful memories made in this VRBO! Our family of three enjoyed a lovely stay here for two weeks over the Thanksgiving holiday. The layout with two upstairs bedrooms worked well: one as a master, and the other as a nursery for our 11-month old. Also, having the extra full bathroom downstairs was a lifesaver. My husband and I could get ready at the same time while the baby was napping. The living area on the main floor is functional and more spacious than I thought it would be. Our son loved climbing the stairs, and it was also easy to add a baby gate (we purchased) for times when we needed him in one area. We loved being within walking distance of downtown Excelsior and definitely took advantage of it as the weather allowed. One thing to know if you're unfamiliar with the area: this house basically sits right on HWY 7, which is a busy road. This wasn't an issue for our family as we're used to traffic, but if you're sensitive to sound, plan ahead with ear plugs or white noise machines. We would stay again, no question! Great location and overall setup for the price, and the hosts make everything easy—no unwanted surprises. The reason I gave 4-stars for cleanliness: in my opinion, the house is at the point of needing a deeper cleaning than the normal turnover for rentals. Some of the furniture is also near a point of needing to be replaced. That said, it was tidy overall, and all of the stuff that really matters was on the up and up.
