Summary: We were looking for a beach vacation which we haven't done in quite a few years. The Beachcross apartments are right across the street from Reduit Beach. The beach is very nice, with warm, but still refreshing water. There are 7 or 8 restaurants within a 6 minute walk and another 10 if you were to walk to the downtown area which is .6 miles from the apartment. Supermarket, pharmacy, tour companies all in the conveniently located downtown. No car needed and we really didn't want one as we didn't want to drive on the left side of the road and the roads are hilly and twisty-curvy with hairpin turns etc. Took a car service to and from the airport. And hired a driver and a car for one day to take us to some of the attractions in Soufrière such as the mud baths, waterfall, and Marigot Bay. The Vrbo listing is a little confusing as the location of the unit within the 12-unit apartment complex aren't specified and the actual unit you may be assigned are not necessarily the pictures online. I'd ask specific questions (poolside or street side, first floor or second floor? outside chairs/table by your unit etc.) about the actual unit you will be staying in and for pictures of that unit. Units could use a refresh and a handyman to attend to minor needs. All in all a good value and the location is excellent. We are expecting to be back next Winter.
