Positive: Hosts were lovely, gifts on arrival were a nice touch, lovely property that you can appreciate the time and thought that goes into the upkeep.

Negative: Overall we felt as though our stay here was just massively over priced for the reality upon arrival and throughout. We did not see any problem with the price at booking stage as it sounded justified and the promise of privacy was a theme throughout the description. Only a few small gripes like the pool being dirty and bits along those lines that could have been ignored but the biggest thing which took away from our holiday was the house being over looked from all angles with some doors/windows not having curtains or blinds therefore a massive lack of privacy. Very disappointed given the description when booking, and very misleading to the reality of a relaxing escape with the whole place to yourself. This was something very important to us when choosing our holiday this year and felt like we may as well have saved half the money to stay on a log cabin site, expecting the busy/noisy site, where you’re surrounded by family’s eyeing through your windows as you’re getting what you paid for.. as mentioned it is a lovely place but the false promises meant it was just such a shame to have spent that amount of money and we were unable to fully relax/enjoy our own space on a holiday that we worked hard to pay for. I’ve stayed in many different types of places up and down the country and I’m always careful with descriptions/reviews depending on the type of holiday or adventure I’m planning for reasons exactly like this and its honestly the first time I have come away quite deflated and regretful. The advertising is just selective and cleverly done so I would say fair play there, it unfortunately just wasn’t the reality of our week 🤷‍♀️
