5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, in ground pool, yard with grass, upper and lower decks, BBQ grill, screened-in porch, plenty of seating and 4 private parking spots. More free, street side parking available.
Located in a waterfront community with 5 beaches, several playgrounds, boat docks, fishing piers, and basketball courts. Our pool opens May 1 and is not heated. The summer heat usually warms it up nicely. We close the pool October 1.
Across the street is the closest swimming beach where there is a swim platform. The beach is situated on Almshouse creek off the South River. The pier, near the beach, offers a fishing and crabbing platform. Bait shops are nearby and we can supply a couple fishing poles or equipment to crab off the pier.
There are 2 levels of living space in the house:
The lower level hosts entrance, 1 carpeted bedroom (full day bed with twin trundle), a studio that can convert to a 2nd bedroom with space for air mattresses. A large kitchen with all you need, dining area, family room with huge sectional and nice oversized smart TV, 1.5 baths, laundry room with sliding glass door exits to deck/yard/pool. Family room has second sliding glass door opening to the screened in porch.
The upper level hosts 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths:
The master bedroom has a deck with water views and a private full master bathroom access. It features a whirlpool tub and an oversized custom shower.
The other 2 bedrooms upstairs share a full bathroom in the hall, it has a tub/shower combination with adjustable shower head.
All bedrooms are oversized in this house!
Bed sizes, downstairs:
Bdrm#1: 1 full day bed and twin trundle.
Studio: fits several twin air mattresses, converts to 5th bedroom with a door that locks and blinds that close. We usually set up one queen air mattress here, can provide several twin mattresses instead.
Bed sizes. Upstairs:
Master Bdrm (#2): 1 king bed.
Bdrm #3 : 1 queen bed and pull out sofa (smaller than full, yet larger than twin).
Bdrm #4: 1 queen bed and futon (smaller than full, yet larger than twin).
Available sleeping arrangements are comfortably for 10 people.
All bedrooms have windows with screens and shades, as well as doors that can be locked for privacy; the studio has also a lockable door, and shades for privacy (space for air mattresses).
Backyard is fenced and has a deck with plenty of seating, a screened-in porch, 3 burner gas BBQ, an 15x27 foot in-ground pool (6 feet deep end, 3 feet shallow end) and a grassy area.
Drive way can park 3 cars next to each other, a fourth car can park on the side of the street by our mailbox (please don't block mailbox).
Steps away from small beach (Almshouse creek feeds into South River), with charcoal grills, pick nick tables, swim-up platform, playground, and amazing sunsets). Fishing/crabbing Pier near steps from beach.
15-20 minute drive to downtown Annapolis, Navy Academy and Navy stadium.
30 minutes to BWI, 40 minutes to downtown Baltimore and 45 to Washington DC.
Dulles Airport is furthest away, around 70 minutes or longer due to Virginia traffic. If possible fly into BWI.
5 minute walk to Historic London Town & Gardens, a beautiful waterfront garden which is open Wednesdays-Sundays.
We do permit Navy Graduation events. Max. event size is set to 50 people total at all times please.
One very friendly indoor/outdoor cat lives here. We feed her mornings/evenings in the laundry room or outdoors. The laundry room can be entered from the backyard, through the sliding glass door, so we won't walk through the main part of the house.
The door from the laundry room to the rest of the house can remain shut so we won’t disturb your privacy. There is a cat door build in, so the cat can still access her litter box in the laundry room when you want to close the door.
Feel free to let the cat in or out throughout the day and pet her as much as you like. She also likes to be carried or hangout on your lap or on the couch with you. Your entire party shouldn't have cat allergies please.
