Positive: We absolutely loved our five-night stay at Chalet Berna. The chalet was cosy and comfortable, with the most incredible mountain views with everuthing you need. After visiting several busy cities, it was wonderful to have a peaceful place where we could slow down, cook our own meals and genuinely feel at home. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, Pauli, who built the chalet with his son. You can feel the care abd thought put into the build. He was incredibly warm and thoughtful, bringing chocolates for our daughters and local speck and Schüttelbrot for us, and sitting down to share a glass of wine. Those personal touches made our stay especially memorable. The location was beautiful and convenient for exploring Ortisei, Seceda and the surrounding Dolomites, with the town square and public transport nearby. We will really miss the stillness, the mountain views and the sound of the cows. As Pauli said before we left, “We always see each other twice in life.” We truly hope he is right. We would happily stay here again.
