Positive: -If you come to Cabin #6 and want to have a GREAT stay instead of an OK stay, bring cleaning chemicals or Lysol wipes to clean the cabin, an air filter (very dusty inside), and bring your own bed sheets/comforters and pillows/pillow comforters, as well as 1-2 blankets to lay over the upholstery in the living room (stains and rips) -The environment was peaceful and loved the nature. -The heaters in the cabin made it nice and warm at night. -Clean towels and huge roll of paper towels -Hiking trail nearby. Only had to drive 7 minutes, which was nice. - Everyone I spoke to at their restaurant were so nice and friendly. - This place could get even more business and reoccurring guests if they were to maintain the interior of the cabin a lot better than how they're doing it now.
Negative: -The entire cabin was very dusty. Walls and lamps had a thick layer of dust. All counters were dusty but not as bad as the walls and lamps. -The bathroom seemed like someone did a quick wipe down, leaving random hairs everywhere on the toilet and shower, which was gross. - All the bed sheets seemed like they've been there since 2002. Example: The queen bed on the first floor just has an old, thin comforter and because the room was so dusty, I felt disgusted as if the comforter and pillows were full of dust so I had to put towels on top of the pillows and didn't bother using the comforter. -Mattresses were very uncomfortable. -Suggestions- The cleaner should check the restroom before leaving or have the other cleaner (if there is one) look at the rooms the 1st cleaner did while the 2nd cleaner looks at the areas cleaner 1 did to make sure everything is cleaned thoroughly. The facility can't get new mattresses, then at least new bed comforters and pillow cases for all the beds. Clean each cabin throughly (a good deep clean, including the walls) at least once a month that way when you have checkouts, cleaning will be a lot easier. Invest in new living area upholstery or at LEAST invest in a upholstery steam cleaner or at LEAST some dish soap with a scrub brush to scrub the upholstery cushions/pillows. The ones in this cabin had stains and rips and none of the upholstery were comfortable to sit in. If the interior of the cabin was maintained better, it would make a huge difference and more people would want to come back.
