Positive: the view was absolutely fantastic. You could sit and watch the goings-on along the water in Friday Harbor. This made us feel like we were touring even when we were chilling out at Friday Harbor Lights. It's a short walk from the ferry - very doable on foot or bike. Walkable to lots of restaurants, a coffee shop and a grocery store. Walden restaurant has a popup bakery nearby on Saturdays.

Negative: Be aware that there are a lot of steps to reach the unit. Had I known there was a fame-worthy restaurant nearby (Walden), I would have made reservations in advance.

Summary: great location, great host, great view
