Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The cottage has all you need for a comfortable stay. The owners also kindly left us some helpful stuff like milk, butter, jam and even eggs! So we managed to make ourselves some decent breakfasts.

Negative: The major downside is the unmade road leading up to the cottage. The short drive up to the gates was very uncomfortable and heart-stopping as we have a fairly new car. It can do untold damage to your car as the potholes are MASSIVE! The other issue is the main bed, with one side almost touching the wall, which means my poor wife (who's not even big!) had to sidle, crab-like, up to her side of the bed. Maybe the design and fit of the furniture could be altered slightly. Last but not least, the loo roll holder could be better placed, as its current position means you have to turn 180 degrees to your right to reach it, when you're seated! Given the restricted space, it would be a better idea to use a free-standing loo roll holder.

Summary: Great cottage in a great location, shame about the road.
