Positive: Staying with Josue provided us with the authentic Panamanian experience that we desired. We wanted to see how locals live and with his assistance we did. I think the home could be cleaner with some extra effort and a bit more care attention to details could make the day a bit more pleasant. Falling asleep with the community of dogs, barking at predators or wild animals and waking up with the roosters made us appreciate the simple life these folks live. You must be ready to abandon the simple pleasures we take for granted to fully appreciate your stay here. We did and we weren’t disappointed.
Negative: The place could’ve been cleaner. A good day of cleaning would make a world of difference. However, it is a bachelor’s home. There’s nothing that is of danger or extreme concern, but we just did not use the kitchen facilities.
Summary: Safely live like a local for a night or two.
