Summary: Refurbishment continues at a good pace. My room was freshly done, quite lovely, and remarkably spacious. Staff was on hand to check me in, even long before normal check-in hours, and did not charge me a premium for early check-in (about 2 hours early). They had a little difficulty finding my prepayment record, but gamely continued searching the system until they found it. The location is absolutely stunning, half a block from Kensington Gardens and only a five-minute walk to the restaurants and shops on Kensington High Street. This hotel is an excellent quality for the price, and I will certainly stay here again.
