This apartment is one of 5 apartments in the Historic Jefferson Building. It's a 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment, with a half bath off of the spacious living area. There is a king bed in the master, as well as a roll out twin bed that can be used in the living room, if needed. There is a ton of closet space for longer stays, as well as a fully stocked kitchen. Laundry is located in the hall between the master & the master bath.
The Jefferson was built in 1905 and served as the Bank of Lafayette. It's a historically significant building, notable for its Colonial Revival architecture with domed pavilion entrance and ornate details. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It has been transformed into a wedding and event venue called "The Jefferson."
It's currently home to The Jefferson Event Venue & Ton's Restaurant downstairs... and 5 apartments upstairs, including the large corner Penthouse that overlooks the corner of Jefferson & Congress from it's dome. The apartments are a mix of short term rentals and permanent residents.
There is gated parking in the rear of the building, located on the corner of Buchanan St & Congress St. Each apartment is allotted 2 parking spots. Overflow parking is located in the open parking lot next to Ton's Restaurant. It can be found by putting 516 Jefferson St in the GPS.
You will have full access to the apartment, as well as the hallway & parking area.

It's also located in the center of downtown Lafayette, LA over Ton's Restaurant & The Jefferson Event Venue. Nights tend to be noisy on weekends. This is not the spot for light sleepers, but we do provide a sound machine & ear plugs. It's a great spot for guests of weddings & events downstairs. 2 flights of stairs are required, as there is no elevator in this historic building.
