Sitting on the northerly edge of Lake Ullswater, Pooley Bridge is home to traditional inns and lovely tearooms, with access to numerous walks or take a tranquil cruise down the lake to the villages of Glenridding and Howtown. To the north of Langwathby lies Carlisle, a historic city with a beautiful cathedral, castle and the popular Tullie House Museum And Art Gallery.
