Summary: If you're not a person who likes big resorts and looks for something a little more low key, The Hideaway is it. Beautiful, well-kept grounds. The room was fresh and clean. The pool and pavilion are in the middle of the cottages, and the beach is literally right outside the gate. My first day there, I had the entire beach to myself (beach is very nice and clean). There is no traditional check-in or front desk and not many employees, so there's kind of just a "honor system" vibe. I did meet one of the managers, who was very sweet and talked to me for several minutes about living on the island. The staff at "The Shack" next door were extremely professional and polite (I'll review The Shack separately). This sounds like such an advert that I will add one negative thing; over the cottage I stayed in, there must have been some sort of fruit or nut tree, and the fruits/nuts often fell throughout the night. Each time one fell, it almost sounded like a brick hit the roof.
