Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was really remote and there was no light pollution at all which allowed us to see the beautiful sky full of stars with our bare eyes! Also the bed was very comfortable and the area was super quiet so we were able to sleep like babies. The host was super responsive and friendly too. She came to the main house just to make us breakfast in the morning! She was fluent in Finnish, English and even Spanish, among other languages.

Negative: I didn't love that there was no running water in the cottage. That meant that the toilet was an outhouse - although one of the nicer kinds. The shower and sauna were in the main house and shared with the guests staying in that house. Fortunately no one was staying in the main house during our visit so it was okay. There was no wifi, and we couldn't get the live TV channels to work but it was pretty late when we realized so we didn't try asking the host (as she had told us earlier that she tends to go to bed pretty early) so our bad.

Summary: Cozy cottage without many modern luxuries
