Positive: We had the pleasure of staying at Villa Castanea for a week in August, and our experience was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, our host greeted us warmly and handed us the keys. She then gave us a brief tour, ensuring we felt comfortable and familiar with all the amenities available. The villa itself is stunning, beautifully decorated with a keen attention to detail that made every room feel luxurious. Sitting right at the top of a hill, Villa Castanea offers breathtaking views of Opatija Bay, making it the perfect place to relax and take in the natural beauty of the area. The pool was in perfect condition and well-maintained, providing a perfect spot to cool off while enjoying the panoramic views. Inside, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, featuring hotel-style king-size beds that made every night’s sleep a delight. We were pleasantly surprised to find that towels, dressing gowns, and slippers were provided, adding a nice touch of comfort and convenience. The villa is also very well-equipped with everything you might need, from kitchen appliances to entertainment options, making it easy to feel at home during our stay. Our overall experience at Villa Castanea was wonderful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway. The only downside is that a car is essential for getting around. It takes roughly 15 minutes by car to reach the nearest small town and market for groceries. However, despite this minor inconvenience, the villa's numerous positive qualities more than make up for it, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
