Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The biggest factor in this booking is the hostess, Gigi, who is a lovely, friendly and helpful person. She greeted us cheerfully, made us feel right at home, and helped us with questions about Exeter. She has lovingly decorated this historic home to make it feel homey for guests. Our room had local travel guides, beautiful mugs and coffee/tea supplies, and little touches like a small fan and fresh milk in the mini-frig. The breakfast was quite impressive; while not a hot breakfast, she put out myriad options, from hard-boiled eggs to diverse fruit and cereal options, toast and pastries, juice, coffee and tea.
Negative: Nothing to control here, but folks need to know it's a bit of a hike from the bus/train stations to get here. We enjoyed walking through the university district (lots of students milling about), and once on West Ave, it was incredibly quiet and residential.
Summary: Very comfortable stay and interesting, friendly hostess. HIghly recommended!
